Hello, I just passed on windows 7.
with xp I was accustomed to having two sides of the desktop two bars of the vertical tools that rapped many connections.
These two toolbars I had configured them so that they automatically disappeared when the mouse didn't select them.
the same thing you can do with the horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen (right button on properties).

well with w7 I can't do it anymore and I'm looking for a solution.

with fences I can only crack the links.
I would rather have a solution like with xp.

Does anyone have an idea?

Maybe I didn't explain well:
with xp the bars I had them on the sides and disappeared
with w7 I can't create them
with fences ragroup connections in transparent layers but I must have on the screen occupying much of the space

never used the bars on the sides...... but the fences in my opinion are valid, you don't need to have big ones you can also have small ones so they occupy little space, then you move inside with the scroll bar.
Hi.

If I understand what you want to do... you have to right-click the bar and remove the flag from the "lock bar" command, then drag the bar to one of the two sides where you want to put it.

p.s: to create them right-click on the toolbar > new toolbar > to automatically hide it right-click on the bar and put the flag on hide automatically, only thing I don't think you can put the bar on both sides.... but I press that I didn't know this command either on the xp... so maybe someone more experienced knows how to do it.

you with xp you created them by dragging a folder to explorer first on the desktop then from the desktop on the top edge of the screen and finally drag it on the sides with option to disappear.
Finally at will you draw from the explorer other links.
was very practical in xp.
I try again and let you know

here is how you show the screen with xp

as you see with the bars that disappear are very comfortable.
then just switch the mouse to the edges that appear automatically, click on the desired icon and the game is done.

with w7 I did not find how to do it

I don't understand, but I don't see the problem.
right peeler on the bottom bar, Toolbar and therefore new toolbar. Then you put what you want in it.
then right button on a bar, property and in the first tab, popping up hide automatically

creating them in w7 is not a problem. I would like to make them independent from the main bar and place them on the sides vertically so as to earn much space. the only thing you can do though in w7 is to marry the main bar then or all or nothing :-(

Nothing with w7 doesn't work.
I can't make the new bars independent of the superbar and place them on the sides vertically.

Does anyone know an application that does?

Can't you just leave them on one side of the desktop?
Isn't that enough?
I put it on the left and I look great.

no because I have many links if you see the image you realize that a bar is not enough:-(

after various tests I solved for the moment as follows:

- on the 1. monitor I installed coolbarz and defined 3 custom toolbars as from weight loss

- on the 2. monitor I installed rocketdock and objectdock and defined 2 rods of custom tools as from magnets

on the main w7 toolbar I also created additional links.

on the internet explorer window I also created other links

there would also be the following tools but for one reason or another did not satisfy me:
- oldbar.
- sevendeskbar

Maybe I was helping someone

I forgot:
for coolbarz the toolbars appear and disappear automatically depending on the mouse position:-)
