cut one element compared to another in the assembly

Hello.

I have this problem... I have a beam that in the assembly "penetra" in a sheet. Is there a processing to cut the beam on the surface of the sheet when I am in the assembly?

I saw that something like this is for the frames but mine is not a frame and so it doesn't let me do it.

you make a fictitious ad hoc assembly, then it comes in an ipt and during the derivation operation you will subtract the cylinder from the profile.
at this point you have your profile shaped.
or together make an extrusion of subtraction using in the sketch,the projection of the cylinder profile.
direct tools for subtracting together are not there, except f.g.

I thank you very much (many thanks yoke of the film)... but I'm afraid it's not a processing so if I change the cylinder diameter automatically I don't change the cut too ... now I'm trying for verification but it doesn't seem to me.

... I realized that instead it is a processing therefore changes in function of the diameter if, when I choose the areas, I flag the associative option .... but I have a problem ... in the exercise true and proper I am applying the beam on a edge of the reservoir and this involves having to deal with more areas. nothing difficult because I just need to join the areas before cutting.

But I have a problem about the membership... I must have done something, because in the first attempts it was all right, and now the screen three.jpg appears when I select the faces during the copy.

What can I do to remedy this? ? ?
