for the modeling of the soil for the realization of a quarry I must learn to cut two 3d faces that intersect one with the other. are surfaces and not solid. How can I do that? thanks to whom, capable of mind and spirit can help me.

bhè in the meantime welcome to the forum... Of course that autocad13:hahahah:

What operating system can you do it?

autocad is not a surface modeler so it is always difficult to work on them.

the first thing that comes to mind is to extrude the surfaces (so transform them into solid) to perform the boolean operations between the solids and then explode and solids obtained back to have delel surfaces.

I don't know if this on autocad 13 is possible... I haven't touched it for 10 years so I don't remember what it allows to do.

with autocad 12 instead it would succeed, because the solid engine was different, amesolid which allowed you to solidify a mesh, and know the mass, then wisely the solids was enough to do a subtraction.

Of course, as he worked, maybe you could go to lunch and dinner, but the job did! !

Thanks shape, very kind. Maybe I made a mistake in the profile. use autocad 3d mapp 2008. the idea of extruding the surfaces could be an idea but certainly very laborious because the soil is composed of many faces and I should recalculate all then extrude them. I can't extrude them otherwise. However it is a possible way chje at least removes me from this enpasse that does not allow me to continue in my work. thanks and good to make.
