Yes, that's why. You must have the surface inside the same part. to make it do a contextual modification of the component in the axieme, make a surface offet "0" (actually the copi) then cut using the copy present in the part. there are also other methods, this is the most immediate.

the command name is " component change" and allows you to change components in the context of a set.

I don't understand what you're wrong, how I wrote you, you should see the model. by model I mean the axieme in which both the surface and the component to dig are contained, unfortunately I do not read your files. What version are you working with?

1- depends on how you did it, if you used a sketch the spline lies on the plane where it was created
2- the only explanation (it is intuition, not certainties) is that you have done lamature as work together.

to cut a solid compared to a surface it is necessary to make modification component to be cut and to extract all the surfaces, to join and cut. . All right.
this method is great if I have to cut one component according to one surface
but if instead I have to cut more components according to the same surface as I do?
the plastic component (which you see in the attachment) is supported by multiple layings below it.. my idea is to create a single surface that covers all the layings but this surface I would like to have in the tree of the plastic component instead of in one of the poses so as to cut all the layings according to the same surface

now for each of the orange poses I made component modification and I extracted the surfaces of the piece.. and was very long:

if you go to "assieme functions" in the axieme environment there are some functions you can use, including the extrusion size. you have to use it as you do in a part environment, selecting a plan and creating the sketch you need, only then when you go to cut you can select the components involved from the cut and in your case will be all the layings
