Hi, I would like to know how to size a pin in s2375jr stressed to cut with a force of 60kn
i to find the admissible tau divide the admissible sigma by root of 3...is correct however not?a pure cutting action t acting on circular section of diameter d generates a tangential voltage that goes:
♪[ \tau=\frac{4•T}{3•A} \]this value must be lower than the admissible voltage of the material.
♪[ \tau,adm=\frac{0,58•Rs}{ks•kd}; ks=1,5; kd=1÷3\\\tau≤\tau,adm \]
Of course it is equal....1/√3 makes 0.58I to find the admissible tau divide the admissible sigma by root of 3...is correct however not?
