Hello everyone
I must draw a very small quarry as from drawing on a thickness of 0.62 mm in brass cuzn15 from 410n/mm2 of hardness.
the mold has to make several shots, it is spoken of 7/8mln / year
there are tips on how to get the shape and especially make the punch last.

hi, just because of mere academic speculation, it would be said that if you have to quit solo that form, you may consider widia, but the press must be more than perfect, the mold with well-preloaded ball cages, etc.
in itself the breaking load (the one you indicate is not a "hardness" ) is similar to that of many ferrous plates. For which normal tool steels, made of electro-rosion (if not even finished with rectification), in a mould without lateral efforts (like folds) given the little play between matrix and punch, should be enough.
an insidious problem is rather the evacuation of the cheeked, which is able to paste to the sting and rise up above the strip. you have to find place for an extractor in the punch, or an air current, even aspirant from below.
Good work, reborn.

Hi, thank you for the answer, you actually are right in the rush I wrote hardness instead of the breaking load I was focused on the problem.
I had also thought to use widia on a mold with double coloring and preloaded spheres of quality, the piece in reality is a little more complex because it previews besides normal hairstyles also a ray coniatura on the quarry, the mold is to 4 figures 200 cp/min

I had thought of these solutions:
1) hard metal matrix with max 0.8 mm collar, within matrix with 0.1mm punch
2) very short punch 0.8mm with support from about 1.5x 3.5 then preminastro with support width.
3) longer punch 6mm with pre-mix instead of the same shape punching 5mm thickness then quarry 1.5x3.5 for support
4) 2.5 mm long punch with the same shape punching but less thickness 1.5mm

what worries me for the sting in md are the chips in correspondence of the finer areas 0.2mm and the extraction force that can break the punch.

for the extractor sincerely I do not know where to put it in a 0.34mm punch, perhaps better the suction option in the matrix,
What would you do with an air current like venturi?

Thank you, decibel

I cannot express myself on architecture, on the fact that there is also a coniatura: obviously not "help".
for the use of the md, of which I have no experience, I can say that I would start with steels of excellent quality, and only after possibly I would replace the hairs with the widia, if the duration is insufficient. from what I saw the md is destined to the pull of the magnetic sheet, perhaps on the brass is even wasted.
the aspiration can reasonably be done with a venturi (the piece is a coriander): you just have to be able to channel well air and pieces (a bazzeccola. . ).
good work and good weekend.
