Hello, everyone. Excuse me if I ask myself not knowing the answer to your question, but I hope you can help me solve the following problem:
enter a text string in a autocad file containing the directory name in which the file itself is located; so that by moving the file from one directory to another, that text string can automatically update. I tried with the _field command (autocad 2008), but there are 2 problems: there is no setting the " directory name" option and the string does not automatically update by changing directory to the file.
Thank you!

the field code (_filed) is the following and automatically updates, if it does not, just go to the data field and select updated

Hello! Thank you for having responded.
Is there a way to view only the end of the path? i.e. just the name of the final folder?

automatic update does not work. I can't even find the way to update manually, but it doesn't matter: the automatic update is necessary for my purpose that is then to optimally manage the auditing orders.

then for the name or only the path or both see the image I posted above

for automatic sampling of the verification fields the value you have in the fieldeval system variable

I have 31 and corresponds to the sum of these

0
not updated

1
updated at the opening

2
updated to rescue

4
updated to the press

8
updated to use etransmit

16
updated to regeneration

anyway at least a regen or a zoom and you have to do it

fieldeval is at 31 in both autocad 2008 and autocad 2010, but the result is the same. There's no way that 2008 will update the string. 2010 does.

strange: in 2009, just save in another folder the field <percorso> updates automatically.</percorso>
