Good morning to all
I ask for advice from "prophan" of the furniture industry.
a new customer, which produces custom-made furniture, asked me if there is a way to send the cutting data of the panels to his biesse.mi saw better: If I design a moblie with a 3d parametric cad, then a separate cut in excel or csv format etc, is it possible to send this data to the control of the machine, without the operator having to manually insert the size of the panels to be cut?

Hi.
Usually you use vector files like dxf or dwg. and with your software you shouldn't have problems.
But if they have to cut simple geometric shapes, rectangular or square.. may be that a text file (txt) can be read from the numerical control.

I think if it's a recent machine it's likely to be compatible,
otherwise there will be always biesse programs that import exel files nesting panels and then send the file to work to the sawer.

vmirko, thank you for the answer. In fact, the machine is equipped with that software (optiplanning) that communicates to the operator even when turning the panels etc. So you confirm that it is enough to take the distinction in excel or csv and import it into machine control?

I'm not 100% sure but I think if your client calls in biesse they tell him if you can do it and how to do it.
I've been using alphacam for several years and I do everything.
