hello to all I am doing at school a course of afternoon revit and the teacher advised us to download the student version of revit.
I downloaded the 2012 version to have fluidity with my pc, at school we use 2013.
My problem is that as default measurement units are set the millimeters, unlike what we have at school where it is set to meters.
I would like to know how to change the measuring unit so that at each start the meters remain.
Thank you, hello!

The measurement units are inherited by the template you create your project, there are no default measuring units.
what template do you use? I guess not the defaultita.rte.. .
p.s. between 2012 and 2013 at performance level there is no big difference; if your pc supports well 2012 you can safely install 2013

I add some info to the answer of the estimated tristan:
1. if you have to continue working on projects that start at school and have a previous version of revit, you will not be able to open the files (revit has no chance to save in previous formats); so I also recommend using 2013.
2. If you copy the template (Rte file) that is in school, you will paste it on your pc (in the revit template folder) and set up your revit 2013 so that, when you start a new project, you will create it from that model (you do it in the file->file project template options), you will find the same settings including the measuring units
3. otherwise change the unit of measurement, from the board manage and save the model (rte); the next project you create from that model will have the measurement unit you set, as if it were a default

In addition to what others have said, project units can be changed in this way:

true, true.

that in the English version is the one reported in the image of alfredo medina.
but if you want to make it a default setting, you must save the rte model. otherwise for each project it is necessary to change.

hi to all the file is defaultmetricita.rte
in these days I will download 2013 and try to copy the files from school at home.
thank you all for the answers.
