hi to all, I have the problem of assigning to the various threads metric big step a certain depth of the hole and the thread. from what I know I can create tables that change the step but do not allow me to set once for all depths. Does anyone know how to do it? is there a specific file to edit in catia somewhere or should you edit some key in the windows registry?
thanks to all for the courteous attention:)

No, I don't know. had already spoken about it in the forum. if you are looking for alternative solutions

thanks falonef, it seems impossible that through the registry keys you cannot edit the depth values

windows log keys, usually in them programs save values and parameters, you can access them via the regedit command

I try to give you an answer but it may be that I didn't understand the question well.
you could insert variables with "easy" names that then call back as a formula in the drill command.
(so I'm excluding the external table speech).
This might be a solution to me, or maybe it wasn't what you meant.

It is not what I meant, I would like that for example the m10 thread had depth of the hole 30mm and depth thread 25mm the m12 will have other depths etc but the parameters I would like to appear by default in the mask that proposes catia hope to be explained

same problem we encounter. we have said or develop an application or wait for cv6. we opted for the second solution. ...

Does v6 really allow you these things? How is the migration from v5 to v6? take into account that catia is used very primitively......

No, perhaps it is better to specify:
Since v6 is at the door, let us be surprised. Perhaps ds will remember this improvement:biggrin:

if you look at the forum has already been dedicated to the material for this problem.
I in the office (even if I do not use it) I created first with the "power copy" and then put in a library the holes in the various threads both for blind holes and passers .
practically do not use + threaded hole but by clicking on the selection library example m20 asks you an insertion point and a support plan and makes you the thread from 35 and the hole from 40 automatically (in my case flat tip from the m20 up) ................................. and so for all the threads you want.
If you're looking in the forum, it seems to me that I've already posted something, or someone else has done it ......................
Unfortunately ( fortunately it is better:) are in vacations otherwise I would post you something.
cmq is not difficult to create "power copy" or libraries ..................

If you have problems...... I will make you have something:wink:

thanks a thousand mcbramby, the power copy I use, but I never thought of using them for this purpose, however instead to insert them from catalog you can not create a custom toolbar that points directly to powercopy?

I have never tried to do so .................. you can try:smile: .
I unfortunately am not in the office and I have no casket underhand.
