design of a spring

so the last edges are not perfectly closed.
still remains the fastest method to create a spring with few features.
What do you mean, "they're not perfectly closed"?
I didn't look at the odds ... just adjust the variability of the step well and things come as you must.

Bye-bye
I don't think I am absolutely a modeling expert in pro-e, but "girovagando" on the internet I came across a site of a great... :-) several times also mentioned on this forum.
you put two links pointing to two of his tutorials on springs, I hope they can serve you. . .

I agree with you...that guy (leo greene) is something monstrous...every time I look at his tutorials I depress!! !

Good morning to all, I attach a couple of models that I hope can return useful to someone.

1. simple compression spring with thick ends.
length values (free l0, mounted l2 of work), diameters (ømedium, øfilo), edges (totals, useful, thickened of ends) must be inserted into the parameters.
In the reports I set basic calculations (expected by vademecum) to get the forces and tensions to l1 and l2.
in table 2d is represented the spring (to manage the suitable scale) with a linear graph of the forces and a standard table with the dimensional characteristics of the spring.
If someone wants, he can perfect everything and share it.

2. I attach a wrapped spring file (by ozzy), as from lollone image.

great this file... thank you
I'm sorry if I take advantage of it, do you have one like that for traction springs?

your is a file with the countercogl..... .
but to draw a tensile spring as I have to move?
I looked around but I didn't realize what the best way is!?
should I use the trajpar function?

but to draw a tensile spring as I have to move?
you can try this way, it is a little more slender than the simple compression spring.
I put it down a bit fast, so I didn't use any relationship; those in equality of the diameters of the wire and the one in order to obtain the step according to the edges.
the suppressed group is the same rest spring with thickened ears.

I understand... you are the king of springs!! ! !

Thank you very much... very useful your files!
