But then the idea is to make one in sheet metal, and then I will have to go into detail.

So... I don't use inventor, but I think modeling tools are the same in most software.
I attach the image of how I quickly made the 3d model
Basically: profile n°1 is a rotating profile
profile n°2 is a repeated rectangle circularly n times
then there is a boolean operation between the solid in rotation and the rectangle repeated n times
then there is the empty command (which is also on inventor) where you give the desired thickness of your sheet.
and finally.. software allowing all rays

you can be useful to have an approach even with the surfaces that can be preferred to the solid approach giving thickness to these.
in the image see what the difference is, with the emptiness of solids it can happen to you that a cut to ' slice of salami'.
