design reduces cycloidal

Merolla

Guest
Hello! ! !

I am designing a cycloidal reducer that presents a cycloidal disc with 12 teeth with diameter between a tooth and its opposite of 47,5 mm, moved by an eccentric with distance from the center of 1 mm, which rotates around a crown with 13 reels of diameter 1.5 mm.
I managed to make the cycloidal disk, but now I'm in difficulty in placing the reels so that they are always tangent to the cycloidal disk.
I had thought to place the 13 reels along a circumference centered in the eccentric (i.e. a circumference whose center is 1 mm from the center of the cycloidal disk), but thus doing not all the reels are tangent to the disk, but in some cases overlap... I attach some pictures to better explain my problem.disco cicloidale con rulli.webpsovrapposizione rullo con disco cicloidale.webpCan anyone help me?

Thank you.

Hello merolla,

I have always been fascinated by such types of reducer even if unfortunately I have never tried (if you have specific material in this regard I am happy if you pass it:biggrin:).

in my opinion you should focus on the polars of the motion of such cinematism and in turn determine the conjugated profiles that allow this movement, thus determining the geometry you need. I attach you a piece of explained file in a very simple way that could be useful to you.

I thought I'd answer you here for the 'irreversibility' of a cycloidal reducer because the title of the previous post (... epicicloidali) can be misleading.

if by irreversible you mean does not admit retrograde motion then the cause is probably to be sought in a low yield (or however less than 50%) in the case of a standard cycloidal reducer (where by standard I mean that non utilizza rulli) due to relative motion mainly creeping (different from how it happens for a classic ingration between two wheels toothed to helical teeth)

the supposed rollers have been inserted for substantially increase the performance of such cinematism 'passing' from a type friction sensing a volvent , which we know is much lower. In this case, however, obtaining yields presumably greater than 50% (correct me if I am mistaken) I am not sure that to take the quality of not admitting retrograde motion.

However, in any case, such cinematism admits reverse bike (which is not to be confused with the retrograde motion).

I hope I have given you a point of reflection that is useful to you:

I'm sorry, but you're not having a two-way discussion.
Constitueting answers also serves other users to intervene. at least put the link to the other discussion. . .

if the title is misleading it is more correct to warn the moderator and the user who started the thread of the magazine rather than to continue on another thread, however pertinent, as there is the concrete risk of losing steps and having to jump from one page to another.
I believe that in the forums, especially those in which time is cut out for work, linearity is fundamental not only to intervene as correctly as possible, but also to not waste time and valuable resources.
if it is the case will be the moderator to manage the post order.

but it was not misleading for the original post but the discussion from how I read had natually turned in that direction and was then created a new post... If I have wrong excuse me it means that as soon as I am in front of the pc and I will be more comfortable to copy the answers in the previous post.. the way however it was just not to waste time making zapping between a post and the other.. If I can also express my opinion on this forum people seem a little too aggressive with those who just signed up and probably don't do it for me, then probably these will be my last comments.

I still wish a good job and continue to all!

You seem a little too susceptible. . but everyone is what it is.
Besides, I don't see where I was aggressive having given you advice. to participate is your legitimate choice and you do not need to warn anyone

I have looked at the other post and I think the place where to insert your answer on irreversibility is that also because in this merolla asks for specific lumens on a geometric question and not the motivation of rollers or other.
