I would like to know if you can “fragment” the way to upload files in .cgr mode

I try to explain, having the need to create a general catpart from product of various files I have to wait for all files to pass from visualization mode to design mode and then launch the command (quick operation)

By the way, I lose the advantage of uploading to vm as I have to download all files later.

therefore it would be interesting to understand if there is the possibility to unleash a part of the file from the vm but to load it in dm.

with very large products that I uploaded to .cgr, I limited myself to "hide" the parts or products that I did not care and run directly the command generates catpart from product, the system generated the allcatpart without loading the files from vm to dm, but (I think) running it in the background, so if I had to load a part in dm it was necessary to double-click it. .

maybe a version problem? I used r19

I, like you, hid the parts, and then I gave birth to allcatpart.

first I was wrong writing that the files in total once the allcatpart is generated are in dm,

making a comparison on a total loaded in .cgr

1_ from vm to dm then I execute the catpart command from catproduct
2_ I directly follow the catpart command from catproduct

timings are practically equal, so I am led to think that to generate allcatpart in the second case however it must download

geometries in dm.

I have browsed in utilities (where you find for e.g. the possibility to create batch cgrs) but I didn't find what you need.

When I had operations that hung the workstation, to avoid falling asleep in front of the monitor I did so:

I started a caty session for "heavy" operations in the background (sometimes self-frame conversions, hips, mobile parts etc.)

I started another caty session that I used to perform the real job on one side (or for another c.s)

Maybe someone processes a batch...

back on the speech....I spoke with colleagues who deal with cad/gestional support and confirmed that for any operation you want to do in dm you have to pass, unfortunately
