@ironmike87 between those who sell pieces without controlling them and customers who require unnecessary tolerances/finishes there would be a nice fight. .
an old prof said: the good designer is the one who widens tolerances, not the one who narrows them for fear. .

I think that small/medium workshops, do dimensional controls, would be crazy if they didn't! Another story is wrinkle control, how many of those companies have a wrinkle and use it? Surely, without being too smart, you see to the eye, if a diameter that should have been rectified was just turned back! Of course, I'm talking about the "normal mechanic", but it represents 90% of the production!
