desperate need help to read/convert i-deas sdrc files 12 years ago.

Good evening, everyone.
Sorry about the topic a bit disastrous but in my company we are really hurt and we don't know how to solve this.
First of all I introduce myself by saying that I follow the computer system of a Vicenza company and even if the world falls is not my "daily bread", I was delegated by the resp. technical staff to analyze the situation in their office and propose to the management a solution to get out of the "pantano" in which the colleagues of the technical department are located.
I briefly summarize the situation:
Since 1996/7 (I don't remember well) they are using (coupled to autocad purchased then) a software called i-deas master series ver.4 of sdrc.
the problem, without extending too much, is that since then we have to keep active machines with windows nt 4.0 because that version of software only turns on that s.o.
Imagine that trauma every time the hardware of some wks jumps...
we have not + no one who has been assisting us for several years and the posthumous insertion of the autocad that had to go to replace totally i-deas has instead turned out to be a simple flank and so we have people who develop in parallel with 2 different systems. the problem, I repeat, is that as a wks breaks, you lose a post (switch activation linked to the mac address of the network card (among other things with slot isa x who chews a bit of computer hardware)). the question is therefore the following:
you know how to advise me (besides insisting that the direction decides to spend some money!! ) an application that knows how to read and convert thousands of drawings (the format is dwg but a classic dwg viewer refuses to open them)developed with this sw before finding us with an unusable archive?

you could make an attempt with extracad 6, which is also free. but in which format should you convert them? Also you should know if they are drawings in 2d or 3d. try to post one of example, so you can do tests.

solid edge opens i-deas files according to this table, reading from the online guide:

I don't know what version of i-deas he has. but are you sure that it is not possible to export to iges, even 2d to the limit?

solid edge does not recognize the format. drawings are made in 2d.
exporting to iges, they tell me colleagues, leads to a percentage of loss information and errors that is better redesign from scratch.

also extracad does not recognize them as valid format! sin, because it matters the dwg until the real 2000!
Could you export them to dxf? Of course, however, the kb increases, and much more space is needed for storage.

if you also read i-deas files (or better you can access the i-deas database), but only from versions a more recent than maxfontana; Alternatively you can export to parasolid for the parts and pkg (or something like that, I don't remember well) for the assemblies using the "interoperated" command, but I think that also is available from the nx versions of i-deas (if I don't remember badly from 9 on), for the tables it is possible export to dxf.
I think that for the master series 4 there is no alternative to export to iges.
the only other possibility would be to entrust the files to someone in possession of a nx version, which could convert them in the new version of i-deas and then from there export solid geometry to parasolid and pkg, the 2d always in dxf.
in any case, however, the association with the tables is lost.

dumped rhino. you can read dwg files directly and save them in various formats
you have a test license for about 30 saves if I don't remember badly.
then once tested the program you can buy it directly from the site with the c.d.c. and costs around 800 euros
 
to lose licenses because they spoil ws is not a problem..the change of mac address is painless (always not having duplicated them on the net) through very simple programs as macshift...the program is legal, it only modifies the registry.. .

I ask you because in the old versions of i-deas the native 2d files had .dwg extension, but they were anything other than those of autocad.
