Good morning, everyone.
Does anyone know how to do (if it is technically possible) to "freeze" a saved view containing the development of sheet metal in nx4?
Thank you.

if frozen you mean a view that then you do not change anymore I think the best system is an export cgm and the next reimport .
Of course, any changes to the sheet will have no effect on the view so manipulated.

the idea was to have a view that was automatically updated but that however it was the representation of development instead of the folded piece.
anyway thanks for the good suggestion.

then try this suggestion
when you have sheet metal put the view in the plant in 3d and save the view
then go to drafting and enter the view with the saved name.
check if working it keeps the position.
I usually use it for explosive views and it works

Hi.
when I have to make a folded sheet piece,
the development to put on the table I do it in the "sign 2d"
when I'm in drafting mode.
we have a master model 3d
we create an assembly drafting _sht_t1 and we add as assembly the model 3d, we enter drawing 2d and we make the tables of the piece "finished", then according to the design environment we enter modeling
and giving a different layer I make the flat pattern, I set the color settings,
return to drawing and insert the view with the help of visible format in view
making visible the layer where there is development
or I put the development on a different sheet so I can assign the scale 1:1 for laser cutting, maybe the development is not in drawing formats
so I make a table suitable as size,
I hope I've been clear
Peace and peace

good linus, just what I meant to explain

but actually so it is explained better:biggrin: :redface:

Hi.
I'm sorry, it's gonna be the age. : )
I have forgotten...
in the explained way if the 3d is not overwhelmed but small happens
adjustments... everything remains "legated" but you must update the views

I've been working years with the plates since version ug13.
I have always made the flat pattern by setting a special layer (in preference you can do it) and putting in a special design the only development (visible in view). Remember to put the flag in auto update, in this way passing from one application to another (e.g. modeling and draftng) the flat patern automatically updates.
for the correctness of the development that formulas appropriate? If you want some tips, ask.
Hi.

Good morning, everyone.
on this topic "development" I would be interested.
I've been developing simple sheet metal products for some time, do you have any plans to handle the neutral factor?

It was not my intention to leave you dry, I had posted the formulas that I used but, in the explanation the system slammed me out.

I'll see if I do a jumpy-like document, but I have too little time.

I place, without explanation, the formulas:

a=0 //se =1 calculates according to ln
fc=if(a=1)(5*(2*(rp+sp)-(rp+sp*ln)*pi()/2))lse(kp)
k=(fc-rp-sp)*(-2/rad(90)-rp)/sp
kp=if(sp<=1)(sp)else(sp-(sp-1)*.25) //correct factor
In = 5/12
rp=sp/2

Sr=rp+sp
