I hope to ask this question in the right section...:smile:

exists that you know a program to manage the distinct freeware bases or at the most economical ... I explain

in a company with which I collaborate are certifying 9001, until today moments did not codify the drawings and now they have to manage a pile of paper :biggrin: after the investment for the certification it is very difficult to propose to him a complex management so I was wondering if there is any solution os that does just 2 things that can suit him, I write here because they could use autocad mec.

Hello, bich,
The distinct base booms are managed by inventor directly. you can export to excel or acces and from them you do what you want. just make a database of management of the distinct ones that are exported and becomes a historical materials.

depends exactly what you want to do and what concepts turn into the company.

you can hop 10 hectares with a pin, with a hose or with an aratro. depends on expenditure, volume of drawings, capacity and corporate organization etc. etc.

I know that with inventor you can export to excel and mdb sin then that at least in excel all values put them with the apostrophe in front and to manage them you have to delete one to one ....if there is no faster solution to me obscure...or what not? ? :biggrin:

but my real problem and that for 80% of their designs use autocad...so I think I have to look for an external solution to inventor but since I am trying to convince them to use inventor (license bought 3 years ago almost 4 and practically never used...) I can exploit that created automatically by him.

If the problem is just that, it easily solves with a nice macro of excel... :wink:
long ago I developed for a company a sheet excel (becomes practically an autonomous application) to process and load in the management the distinct created in autocad lt... Of course, if you don't have the management to interface with, it becomes even more "easy" (at least the "programming" phase of excel). . .
Of course that with access would be even better, but not all companies use it...

I don't see this thing about the apostrophe, maybe it depends on the excel version?

- how do you get a list with the only "buyed" and maybe structured with expanded levels
Can you change the property of a "normal" file to "acquired"? That's because I happen to have to draw htd straps that aren't in the accelerater design, but I don't want to save them in the library, so they look like normal, while it's obvious that it's a purchased component.

The apostrophe puts it to me when I export it, with inv 2008 saved in excel 2005....other nin so :frown:
