difficult question:

is it possible to get a separate inventor working for "filename" instead of "number part"?

I need to get displayed the same number part for sections of different length, and maintain division by rows of different length.

if I delete the length from the property number part obviously me group all the parts with code equal in one line

hoping to have correctly interpreted your request, I get this result using the warehouse number. all extruded that have xx stock number, then have a part number that also has yy length. at this point in distinct group as I prefer.

With description and number of warehouses I can manage the frames created with the frame generator, as you will most or less already do all. the problem I have in particular with the tube&pipe module, I think it is because of the adactivity, I can't insert the length parameter in the part number. It doesn't come as I want, and I have to fill in manually.

@mir: you can "play" already in inventor's mind.@3°mino: with the tube & pipe is more complex due to file names and the fact that they are managed differently. However a variable with the length is there and I think it is called g_l (memory vade)

works perfectly on any part except in pipes.
In fact the pipelines are structured various levels iam adactive.
possible results are
1) All a pile on the same line of separate
2) a line for each ipt file, even if they have the same length

the alternative is to fill out the number part field by hand.
the strange thing is that on the field number of warehouse the parameter pl can be inserted and works!
the number field instead remains in white if I insert a function.

so now I am forced to copy from the inventor's distinct, manually copy the text from storage number to part number.

Now I tell you what I think after doing a test: piping is a complex automatism and in certain aspects convenient. but I think it is not manageable simply. I had to use it myself, do the pipes and fittings, I would call them as I want and put hand or ilogic the length. Maybe in the end it is more convenient and quicker than having all those sub-assistances and those files that you still have to resume.
