are techniques that mostly depend on what you are asking for production. In my case, often, I have to distinguish the "simple" profiles, that is, only cut to the saw, from the more elaborate parts that require a table. for the "processed" parts there must be a unique code, to be used in various subaxis, and I must be able to have any steps or dxf. This request is very simple when the code to be treated is a part and not a welded body to be extracted and to be managed in all welds where it must be equal. always in the same together, I can have many simple profiles. I can model them as a traditional combination, taking a lot more time, or I can make them a welded to be faster and have "gratis" the automatic cutting distinction.
at the end I make the profiles "simple" with the welded that is to be dissolved in separate and add the details " processed" as parts.
