Bye to all,

I am new in this group, at least in writing, because I often ship recently in this forum.

I have recently installed catia v5, I managed to realize a project of a right work bench for exercise (the bench I will really build it though) with the aim of designing aircraft or at least digitization of reproductions in scale.

the first step (or one of the first) is to digitize just a triptych, but I do not know how to do and on what workbench to start. Can you help me?

Can you extract a vector profile from a jpg or pdf?

thanks and greetings

I don't believe in catia..... .
Try to post one, but do you want it in dxf?

digitizing the triptych is quite easy if you have the right license: use the workbench sketch tracer to import, position and scale the image.
if you do not have this workbench is more difficult.
to vectorize is even easier. put you in the sketcher and use the "line pt-pt" function. when you have recalculated all the lines of the image you have vectorized the triptych.
Good job

I'm on sketch tracer... if I go on "create an immersive sketch" asks me to select a jpg, select that of the link previously posted and gives me a mistake.
What's wrong?
