distance of text from quotas

Good morning to all
a simple question but to which I did not find a solution

how can I change the distance indicated with gap in the attached image?

in the sense that I would like, when I put a quota and I want the text as in the image, that the distance between arrow and text is smaller than that proposal

I know that too, but it changes the text's position with respect to the quota line vertical and indirectly (it is true) also what I ask
but it seems that this gap distance is given by the sum of the offset plus a value.
I wonder if this value is fixed or variable, and if variable what is the correct parameter... :frown:

Maybe I didn't understand what distance you mean, but the solution I told you and that you also knew changes the distance of the text from the horizontal quota, not vertically.

the variable you recommended me actually works, except that I "low" the text, which I would like to avoid
But even putting it to zero I can not approach the text to the arrow, or at least I always have a certain distance.

that on the left I got it indicating "move text, add director" and move the text by hand :redface:
It's okay if you have a share, but if you have a lot... it's night!

then change one, as above. after which click on the modified one and go to quota format/style and check the changes where the variables have operated; if the data is consistent with expectations, impose a new style of altitude!

the distance you want to shorten is given by a "frame" of the text (fixed), added to the size of the block that constitutes the notch.

the only way to reduce it (automatically) would be to decrease the size of the notch block (also locally).

another way (very comfortable, but to be applied manually) is to set not "post text, add director" but "move text, without director"

to insert it directly into the quota style, from the _ddim window, tab fit, in the "text placement" pane, flag over dimension line, without leaderin the property panel (size), fit card, text movement field, choose move text, no leaderas a comedian said.... "I won what?? ?" :biggrin:

Unfortunately, yes, you did wrong
dimgap controls the distance between text and quota line (the one that indicated planner road)

jog size factor is the jog control (the pair of lines that indicates that the size quotes an element not fully represented)

try to give from keyboard dimjogline and select a quota, to understand what I'm talking about

to me it seemed that the variable (keyboard) was dimoff, which apparently does not exist.
The jog size reminded me very roughly. ......

How do you do it??

the only way, automatically, it's an escamotage that I show you in the attached image

the minimum distance you talk about is given by the value of () a) which is the scale factor of the block of the notch of the quota (arrow 1 e 2) therefore you cannot lower that distance than the block scale factor (in the case of the image 0.15 unit)
then what can I do.. .
I explode the altitude, I take the arrow and enlarge it 1000 times, I make a block.
I make a new style of quota and I start blocking my new scaled arrow block, and insert it 1000 times smaller (so the original ratio 0.15, will become 0.0015), my minimum distance (a) will become automatically 0.0015 and no more 0.15

aesthetically the quota will not change (the one with red darts is the hypothesis with block scaled 1000 times), but the distance (a) will be reduced badly.

you will have a new style of altitude, which will differ from the original one only for this feature. It's an artifact solution, but I think it's very elegant to your problem.

I also insert a dwg, where you have the two different quota styles, so you can analyze them more in depth.
