question, can you create a distinct base that is connected only and exclusively to what I decide to show of the overall design?
I ask you why I'm doing a mounting manual, and starting from a complete set I find myself taking steps to step the assembly steps, so I have to hide what I don't care. I managed to do everything manually by deleting rows, the only thing is that the quantities remain the total ones and therefore are not in line with the various stages.

separate materials can be connected to configurations; so if to do the stages use the configurations (not the views) you are fine.
of course every phase must have its distinct materials

or hide them
or exclude them from separate materials

I did some tests and the configurations of the explosive views are not usable to exclude or suspend the components
