all of us have created, or we have let it create itself, a folder system on the server, or on the pc where to hold the relatic documents to the contract that we are performing.
Now I was reading a book, the author recommends to adopt the subdivision by subject, assigning to each folder a number followed by the topic name.
es 01_projects
02_work
and under folders are so divided
01_projects
1_xx_denomination_committee
1-xxx-0_gest_comm

and so to follow.
the author says it is a numbering model used in the Anglo-Saxon world.
any of you use this method?

or can we get rid of it?

In the second case we would no longer be consistent with the nomenclature philosophy used for folders.

documents follow the folder nomenclature.
I'm trying to get in touch with the author of the text to ask for lumens.

I personally abhor the nomenclatures "parlanti".
with current technology are useless, indeed, harmful.. .
I think everything has to be in a "big" and with research you extract what you want.
absolutely alphanumeric/sequential nomenclature.
attributes that allow the most advanced and imaginative research.
If the attributes are many and you want to have a "hierarchical" organization you can use a classification tool.
