does not work the restraint command in autocad 2008

as specified in the title, I do not work perfectly the command 'tracting'. When I click in the area concerned for having the retino, I always get a message like this:

Hi, usually this happens when the area to be treated is not closed. check, in case you see the hpgaptol variable: "consider as a contour of restraint closed a set of objects that almost completely encloses an area. the default value, 0, specifies that objects must enclose the area, without leaving spaces. type a value in drawing units, from 0 to 5000, to set the maximum size of spaces that you can ignore when objects are considered as a deduction contour". hello and good year to all.

asman: perhaps you have already solved; otherwise, since the defect normally depends on non-closed area, I do so: contour, closing it, the area with beads, moving beads out of the design, insert the desired restraint, copy, paste as block, move to its place, (prendo as report point + safe down to sin, back and forth). paste as a block to be able to easily move and change if I think it appropriate. I hope you're useful.

After 7 months I hope it has solved...and anyway, instead of doing everything is drawing, why use the parameter "tolerance" in the settings of the dashboard?
