doubt about use vault/inventor on single pc

Good evening,
I want to use inventor on a single pc (no network) , in fact I have precluded the possibility to use vault basic that is included, unless you install a server (physical or virtual) with the consequent purchase of a Windows server license.
That's what I realized from the internet searches I did.
can you kindly confirm or (we hope) deny?
