draft environment - gray lines around the views

Hello everyone, I am new (as a writer) of your forum, although I have already consulted it more than once!

I am learning to use solid edge (use v20 version) during cad, and I am preparing the project to be delivered at its end.

I have a problem in the draft environment: I do not understand why the system traces me, around the views, gray lines at the top.

resemble those that indicate that the view must be updated, but they are thicker and do not surround the whole perimeter but, as I said, are present only at the top of the rectangle of the sight.

a thing like that (you hear the design very "home-made" ), where in the middle there is the view:

_.......................______
|.........................................|
|.........................................|
|.........................................|
|______....................._

I hope to have explained well:smile:

means that the view is updated with respect to the axieme you put on the table, but the axieme is not updated with respect to its components.

take a look in tools - locator design view.

Hi.

generally it is sufficient to open the file of the model referred to the table, activate all parts, update all links and finally save.

Bye.

Thank you so much!!

the problem was that, as there was an alternate set, I had eliminated an anniversary in both variants, and then I had deleted the file.

with the alternate axieme however, the system always leaves those parts in "excluded competitions" and therefore, even if they are not in any of the versions of the axieme, he always goes to look for the relative files.

I didn't find the way to delete them completely, for the moment I solved by bringing the files back to the folder. It seems a little useless, though, to take back files that are not used...

how it is useless to eliminate the individual occurrence on each family member. if you have to remove it completely check out the option "apply to all members" (or something similar). in this way it is not traced as excluded but definitively eliminated from all the assembling.

Hi.

thanks again!:finger:
even if I didn't find the command you say, I then managed to solve from the edge bar, opening the table of alternate assemblies. from there you can finally delete the parts!
