I have never tried it on linux, but maybe you can get sensitive improvements using proprietary video drivers, in case you have a nvidia card or ati.

. I have always considered this software the best alternative to autocad... from the 2015 version is unusable. . .

I used draftsight for a few years and I think it's a great software but the mouse problem I've never been able to solve it, which is why I was forced to adopt other solutions. on one pc I go to snaps as if there was always the active grill +rallentatore and on the other it moves smoothly but at very low speeds.
I couldn't solve any drunk version I tried.

p.s. if I'm not mistaken also on xp has the same problems. Moreover you can install the win version with wine on ubuntu because you can not activate the license (or at least I failed)

He went out draftsight 2016 sp0, tonight maybe I try it on ubuntu to see if they solved something.

I tried to install it on two pcs, but I couldn't, probably for problems more than I know installed than draftsight in itself. if by ubuntu software center I update it lets me complete the installation, but the problems remain unchanged. I tried to remove all previous versions and the various scattered folders of dreftsight but I couldn't install it.

now we are trying extracad that my colleagues are fine, under wine is fine and the cost is very low (less than 100€). Although the features are limited seems a good compromise
