I draw a circle of reference, and then a hexagon that is already bound to you
I put a edge adjacent to the circle or tangent depending on what I need and then I rule with the radius

I think you should save yourself a section in the reuse library, so with a drag&drop you can easily reuse it.
if you look in the rl there is already a small set of sections that you can use as an example.
in nx7.5 (I don't remember if there was before) you have the polygon function that creates it in a click.
