drawing by co-ordinates by excel

Hello everyone.. This is my first post.. I am a student of building engineering architecture and Friday my professor of construction technique told me about the possibility of drawing in autocad but inserting coordinates in excel.. This thing fascinated me and I would like to know more.. I looked for something but the web often despite the numerous information ... it is not clear to someone like me overlooking a new world... Can anyone give me directives or information about this subject?? to begin to understand how you do and especially what you can do with this method...:finger:
