hello to all, my name is rich and I have some experience (from self-taught...) with proe wf4. I find myself having to draw a stent with rather complex shape. attached an exemplary photo. I try to explain the procedure.
the design will have to take place from a 3d of the development plan of the net that constitutes the stent. the idea is to close this development in plan (with toroidal bending?) on an appropriate shape spindle. with this operation, however, the deformations in the space of the meshes of the net, bound by the shape of the spindle, will have to respect the spatial cnfigurations that the meshes can assume. For example, they can change the angles between the threads of the shirts, but not the lengths of the sides of the shirts themselves... I don't know if I managed to explain... I ask you advice on the existence of some feature in proe that can facilitate me in this operation. ...

Thank you all!

You asked nothing... :-)

can be useful the winding function to bring back a curve on a surface without deformations. Then serious, then ... not easy to explain:-) a company that makes stent uses proe with these techniques.
