drilling table: possible bug?

Good morning to all of you,

I detected a problem while creating table holes of solidworks

that represented is a manifold block with a main hole on which converge other satellite holes for utilities

made the model with sw2017 sp.5 but I made it try to a friend with sw2018 sp.4 and sw2014 sp.5 with always the same result

on a face there is a combined hole consisting of:

- blind hole for fluid passage ø14 depth 125
- deep ø23 blade 6mm
- 3/8" hole at the base of the lamatura with useful thread 13 preforo 17 (quote modified by the default)

on the other faces there are other combined and smooth holes that go to intercept the hole indicated above (I do not put the other measures as it does not serve)

as seen in the picture, in the table the caption is automatically added on the hole ø14 "passante" while passing is not at all (prof. 125)

also the threaded hole caption is not accurate as it does not indicate the thread type (3/8") and however the depth is incorrect

in previous versions if not erro you could overwrite the text box and do manual corrections, while now it's all blocked and can't fix anything

the speech changes if I suspect satellite holes: seems as if sw really follows the flow of the fluid and so if it finds an opening the label "passing"

I tried and tried to change the parameters, thread etc. but I don't get out of it

Have you ever seen anything like that?

as always thanks for feedback

Hello Masses,

annexed version 2014

I don't understand.
to me shows the same problem as you. is the 20,00 mm hole that creates the ''problem' . If you suppress the table marks the depth of 125,00.
if with the hole insert a depth of 80,00 (in order to exceed the hole from 14,00) the table shows the depth of 125,00 . If in the hole from 20,00 put the depth of 69.9 the hole from 14,00 becomes passing.
curious

hi Masses and thanks for the answers

yes the table is the classic default I didn't change anything

sincerely I don't know why on my pc comes out like this....the problem is that other colleagues with other versions do the same

Can it be the fault of multiple installations of different versions on the same machine?

hi new rider,

I noticed that being a manifold is full of holes for users

fortunately he wanted the operator to give an eye to the design and saw the restraints otherwise he forged everything

Anyway, it's a good break.... .

on the face there is a tide of other holes that I have now suspended

I usually select the face and sw automatically recognizes the holes present and creates the table

by doing some tests it seems to me that the problem lies in the hole ø20.0 (20)-1 that does not completely cross the hole ø14.0 (14)-2 and this for some reason sends the table malora.
in fact bringing the depth to 76.6 (lower distance of the hole from 14) the table comes out correct, bringing it to 76.59 the table comes out wrong.

yes I had verified this but the problem persists as there are also other holes from 7 and 12 that intersect and cause problems....unfortunately I can not remove them:-)

Yes, I did.
How beautiful, I've made a thousand thousand attempts for something you already knew... superimpose! ! !
the hole from 20 does not trouble while that from 7 yes.

Perhaps you can consider a bug, but you should feel the assistance and know if there is already an open signal on this thing

I've been unmarried for days and I don't tell you... and it seemed right to make you unto yourself too:-)

my client declassified sw after this problem :-(

but perfection still does not exist....or better there is that he thinks he found it....

it seems strange that this sin takes it from 2014 (if not from before)....

is the first time I get a sw bug...... how do you proceed to report? just feel the assistance?

thanks for your time
