dwg inventor 2014 compatible with autocad

Hi.

I developed boards with autodesk inventor 2014 and saved them with the classic file --> saved by name in dwg
Unfortunately the engineer to whom I sent them can open them with autocad but cannot make any measurement on the project.
He told me they look like pictures.
Is there a way to make inventor dwg files 2014 compatible with autocad? ?

Thank you.

you have wrong type of dwg (of inventor and not of autocad)

Hi.

if I don't remember badly if not dwg-true wiew installed, you can't open/import autocad dwg files or save for autocad

....I hope to remember well

Hi.

I installed dwg true view but how do I save for autocad? ?
dwg true view allows me to export to various old formats of autocad, but they tell me that the tables are not yet measurable

Ummm something strange is there, exporting you should also have dwg exports between dwf and cad.... Isn't that maybe inventor wants an autocad installation to export to dwg?

boh, I always did as giga says: "Save by name" -> "Save copy by name" and selected _dwg by autocad_
