Good morning, everyone. to better optimize my 2d model, premitting that I work in the building industry, I was trying to create dynamic blocks.
This isn't a big problem. But things complicate me when I try to make dynamic the door of the window according to the stretching of the width of the lock. How can I make sure that by ironing the lock in width, automatically stretch the door and its opening? I tried to use the "scale" action by putting some bond here and in the points concerned, but the door does not stretch to the correct length. Does anyone know how to give me a tip?

Thank you very much, your videos were helpful. I wondered. When you make the opening quota, the text doesn't move by keeping the central axis of the quota! What happens in the door blocks of your videos?
I attach the file in question
the share you enter within the dynamic block must not be part of any action, all you have done is fine, but you do not have to manually move the text of the quota otherwise you lose the centrality of the latter during insertion of the block into the drawing.
alchemy is in using the oblique quota, in your case about 65°, so the text moves, but maintains its centrality, and then ruotes the text of 90°. I rearrange files with autocad 2013 and autocad 2010 changes as I don't know what version you used.View attachment Bocca di lupoAutocad-2010.dwgView attachment Bocca di lupoAutocad-2013.dwg

Now I understand the beard! Thanks again very kind! I wanted to add one last thing. Meanwhile, waiting for your delucidation on the quota, I used instead of the latter, an object attribute that pointed to the length of a segment of the window. so that at any change, the attribute goes to fish the information on the length of the selected object.
the only drawback is the background of the name of the attribute (which remains grey) and also the fact that it only changes by giving a _regen. but I also noticed that the data field is automatically updated to the correct size, and I can also move the text position manually without incurring inconvenience as it happens for the linear/oblique quotas. What do you think? Could be a valid alternative? I'll attach you a file.

to remove the gray background of the field that distinguishes it from other types of values you have to go options - user preferences - data fields - displays background data fields ( var. fielddisplay =0) and there you also find the update options, but I don't think it is possible to update in real time for this I advised you to use the inclined quota.

Hi.
Thank you very much for the detailed information :finger:
Bye!

View attachment 34934beautiful is really useful videos to create a dynamic window with blocks.
I tried to achieve it step by step but I find myself in difficulty with the share that does not want to be centered. I had to put the share in the push command of the window because it did not fit the stretching.
help sos:wink:
What should I do?
Thank you.

if you read all the post you will understand the error;)
I will copy the suggested solution
"the share you insert within the dynamic block must not be part of any action, all you have done is fine, but you do not have to manually move the text of the quota otherwise you lose the centrality of the latter during insertion of the block into the drawing.

Then it depends on what you do but in conclusion I prefer to work with the lock blocks on a layer (called locks) and the quotas defined by another block with two adjustable attributes in the quota layer.
if you want to do the most perfect things instead of using the quotas associate the attributes to the length of the lock as I did in the last file loaded
;)

strange I do all the video passages but I can't.
1-take the quota
2-the insert
3-vade on text parameters is rotated at 90°.
except for everything. When I go to see, the share doesn't follow the lengthening of the block...
in disaster. . .
:

I thought it was the most trivial thing but it's not true....

back to the previous posts and download the files that attached me gelyparis, and you understand how it did;)

Hello, everyone! I have another problem, very similar x certain verses. in a few words I'm trying to build a dynamic pin with various visibility.
in one I have a pin with continuous line, in the second, with dotted line, in the third visibility the pin with the various fixed quotas and in the last I would like the pin with attributes. all right here, my problem is that one of these attributes, I would like it to have the same function as a quota. I better explain: I would like to create a kind of aligned quota but with editable text. the problem is that the quota being in the block cannot be edited, and x this reason, I was trying to build a quota by means of an attribute that is in axis.
I hope you understand why it's a little complex to explain??

I didn't understand what you mean by a "spillo" (at first reading I thought you meant the tailoring pins :d )
However, you could always draw the line of the quota aligned with lines and put a text in line with it. and if you want to have the possibility to move the quota along a axis, apply a length parameter and then a stretch or move action (which will also have to be applied to the text.
to the limit attach a dwg file so we have a better understanding:)

solved!!! ?

By pin I meant in the field of your weapon of a solettone. a "s" iron more or less.
I solved by applying the strech to the text and setting as a value of strech 0.5 so that it always remained in axis.

? ?

Sorry if I take the post again... I can't download the video tutorial anymore... I don't understand. . .
I have a window with 2 doors horizontal and vertical divider that must increase/decrease equitably according to width/height.how to do? ?
Thank you.

you have to insert two linear parameters one by the base and the other by the height.
to the base parameter assigns an action of ironing but excluding the vertical divider to which instead a move action with multiplier of the distance set to 0.5.
repeat the operation for the height parameter.

Okay, thank you very much.
I had searched for videos in the meantime and I didn't understand the multiplier speech. . .
I noticed that if the dividends become 2, I have to put 0.33 and with 3 I have to put 0.25 and so on...
