edit a imported ifc file in tekla

I entered a ifc file in a tekla model and I can see all the properties of the beams but I can't change the profile and material.
can you tell me if it is possible to do so and possibly what the command to use?

you can not directly edit a ifc file but in tekla you have a command that allows you to convert the ifc objects into objects of tekla (tracks, columns, dishes etc.) at this point its make changes and and export a new ifc.
in this way you will get the desired result.
