edit sketch references

Good morning, I pray that I can use little creo parametrics. I'm shaping an armchair with this program, but I'm finding it difficult to eliminate armrests as it signals error for other elements. I don't know how to do it, I tried to change the references (with the "chain" icon), but it doesn't seem to work because the error remains? in the image below I highlighted the elements that I should deleteIf I delete them, it gives me error in other elements of the armchair that should not be eliminated (even because they are fundamental to the assembling with other parts). below the image of the error in which the elements present under the platform are deleted

I think of two very different alternatives.
the first, very rough, is to eliminate at the end of the model the bracioli cutting them away with an extrusion that removes the solid parts that you do not need.
the second, more "up until", would be to go to investigate all references of the features that fail (information> viewer referenced), and then go to fix them.

First of all, thank you for the answer! I should practically create a solid with the armrest profile, and then extrude it by popping "material cut"?

That's right!
weight that is the easiest way if you are at first experiences.
holding active or suppressing this last feature you can have the two versions: with and without bracioli.

I saw that where I'm mistaken, there's this reference in common. I mark it as extrusion 1.. but I don't understand why extrusion 1 is 770 mm and I did it after the sketch of the chair (imm.3)
