Hello everyone
I tried to do a research and I didn't find any arguments about it, I apologize I had to be wrong.
My problem is the following, for a university course I have to calculate a flat frame using the beam44 element with a released end, to model an internal hinge bond, and to compare with the calculation obtained by beam3 and application of the couple dofs.
everything goes well until I try to create the beam44 element table, setting tables to see the normal effort and cutting on the beam (mmomx and mmomy) I get nothing even if I know that the beams are subject to compression/traction and cutting; the table instead relative to the bending moment instead comes out without problems.
for the parameters to be assigned to mmomx and mmomy I used the beam44 table with the following parameters
mmomx smisc, 4 smisc, 10
mmomy smisc, 5 smisc, 11
I also did a test with only one bound and loaded rod axially but nothing and also when launch solve I always get a warning message but the same gives me the solution.
someone has some idea where it might be the catch, thanks to everyone for the interest
Hi.
Michael

I asked myself a question, and now I give the answer
the problem was related to the definition of a real constant and of a section, i.e. if you want to use beam44 with a section there should be no definition of real constant for the element.
so magically the diagrams appeared and the warning messages disappeared
Hi.

Hi, I wanted to ask you two questions.
1) you wrote that to see the cut, you created the edible table mmomx and mmomy. in the ansys (beam44) help these two are not the moments along the axes and not the cut? is not the mfor (x, y, z) for cutting?

2) Why didn't you use the beam188 element because you had to create the section?
