in a file of assembly I entered another set from which I first copied and then deleted a part,
the problem is that the part in question always appears to me in the main folder of the file , and in the distinct materials,
if I try to delete in the file folder when I open the set it gives me error because the part is no longer inserted in the set as a component

is the part to be eliminated in the main axieme?
is the part to be eliminated in the subaxieme?

Then you didn't understand your problem.
deleting a part from the axieme does not mean deleting it from the windows folder ( fortunately)
in the separate materials may or may not appear, depends on how you set it.

If the part is present somewhere in solidworks models (axiemi*, part references, drawings...) you can't delete it from the windows folder.
*a set is always such that it is inserted into another set or not.

depends on the final result and how it is managed:
you can set it as excluded from the distinct materials, but then you won't even see it in the subassieme's distinctness.
you can set the first level distinction, but then you won't even see the other parts of the subassieme
you can make two configurations in the subaxieme, one in which the part is included in the separate and will be used for the design of the subaxieme and one in which it is excluded for assembly and will be used in the main axieme
