Good morning to all,
I recently have a company that produces food machines. in the place where I worked as an employee I used custom productsteam for the company and dialogue with the management method.
in this new adventure I developed my coding, which is both functional and morphological.
(x)-(xxxx)-(xxxx)-(xxx)
I don't get bored here on its operation, but basically I would like to understand how I manage it with inventor as every "sector" enclosed in parentheses makes faith to a transcoding table. example:
b-dos5-001-014
(b> > registered (I have a table a=committee b=official c=comp.draft d=comp.comm. e=(empty to fill according to need)
dos5>dosatrice mod.5 (I have a table with various mod.)
001> progressive (it should be automatic)
014> year ("fish" year from pc date)
other example: c-005-056-002
c>comp.dis
005> morphological code (table with 001=perno , 002=tree etc)
056> Functional code (table with 001=folder , 002=setting etc etc.)
002>progressive (automatically output from the system)
As you understand, on the basis of the first letter chosen the "system" should allow me to choose the next coding. . .
I wanted to "just" feel how you would manage such a coding in inventor.
do not blasphemy me, but do not use pdm...
or rather I have only a super-management powerful created by a friend consultant who works only for big companies, if I tell you that it is base access you start laughing, but actually... 
so I have to find the way to "manage" as much as possible with the only inventor, then have dialogue and synchronization with the management.
