in creating a trophy for a forum of which I am moderator, I met some inconveniences, or if we want, inconveniences due to my gaps or inexperience:
by making a cup, on the base I would like to place a plate with descriptions, engraved or printed, in short, put something, but I wonder, I have to create the letters and then print them or engraved them or there is a tool that allows me to write and then work as if it were engraving or printing?
then from the base "wood" I started with the first base with the rotation stucco, getting the pedestal of the cup, but if you want to work it, for example to make it to spikes or however to affect it on the surface, how can I proceed?

as for the writing to be engraved or printed just enter the text on the active floor on the face where you want to do the processing (menu contour and command text geometry and choose font type ) if it is a text that is not among the default fonts usually drawing with me10 and then the amount on annotation and the copio/neck on the plane if the font is not there among the available I look for it on the web and insert it into the true type folder. add or remove material and depending on the shapes you want, to affect it on the curved surface we go on the complicated, in the sense that you have to wrap the text. I didn't understand what you have to do, try to look at if the "southdivision" command is your case.

no, no, no mold, I design molds for step-mounted funnels, from tape I realize a product, a threaded nut in a 14 mm high m10 stroke, with 2mm tape.
This is a prize that I must give to the 3 winners of a contest organized by me, and in addition to matching virtual money, at the 1st-2° and 3rd is awarded a trophy.
But I think I got into a job a little longer than I expected.

The type of model you have to do is beyond the possibility of osd and even normal mechanical cads.
I think that to model what I see in the photos the best product (best in relation to the price) is rhino, possibly you can then import the models in osd to complete everything with solids from mechanical processing.
