equations in parameters

I'm struggling with a couple of aspects of equations in parameters:
in the list of units of area I find only:circular_mil.
where do I find mm2?
Still:
from the f1 I find that the symbol "^" allows me to elevate to power, but I do not find how to make the square root.
Does anyone help me?

square root is equal to 0.5 power elevation as from mathematical rules regardless of software or application.
