Good morning.
in the modeling of an office chair (in my case consisting of a steel base and the base + fabric cover), I wanted to verify the behavior in case of static load, but when proceeding I give me error "change the materials", so I wanted to ask you first why of the error? Perhaps an analysis of this type is possible for metals?

I don't know the sw in question, but what you need to insert as parameters at the material level, as you will well know, to do a linear static analysis are, the module of young, the coefficient of poisson and, if necessary, the density of the material (clear if you need the coefficient of thermal expansion and bla bla bla bla bla). That's all you need. the fabric does not shape it so though. You should get back to the lamination theory.
