I don't think there's a chance to see any log files for such an error (and maybe even for others...). I never did, but I played it by deleting on a .sldprt part of the "hieroglyphics" that you see opening it with notepad. I didn't find trace of any log files, and I don't know what can do more assistance if the file is corrupt.a client sent me a swx file to convert to step, but when I open it I have the error shown in attached figure. Is there any way to see any logs without calling the assistance I don't have? I don't think it's a 2013 file (I have 2012).
it is not that you corrupted the file during sending by email. to me it happened sometimes to receive jpg sent with outlook express coming corrupt. compact reinviations in .rar format were perfect.

This is corrupt file, in 14 years it happened to me 2 times. sending the file to the assistance sometimes manage to repair it (it is sent to the American swx) but not always so.a client sent me a swx file to convert to step, but when I open it I have the error shown in attached figure. Don't you have a backup? You want to try to send me to pvt that I try to open it with 2013 and see what happens? the last time I happened with the new version everything worked well.
