exchange subpart parameter

I would like to be able to change from a family table a parameter that is in a piece of the assembly.
I put a variable in the underpiece and then I recalled it from the table through family table-->add columns-->parameter--> clikko on the piece, but the parameter does not appear. .
Why?

in the family table you can only enter the parameters, quotas, etc. to which access directly. if you need to change parameters or quotas that are defined elsewhere you can define global parameters (to be inserted in the family table) to which the various parts will refer (local parameters). In this way, the individual subparts will refer to your global parameters.

It's harder to say that, maybe, to do it. I hope, however, that I have been clear enough.
