Hello everyone!
I am a new member of the forum as well as a new user of ugs.until now I have had experiences in the use of superficial modeling software such as rhino and alias but now I would like to extend my skills by learning to use also a mechanical software/solid modeling and have advised me ug.sinceramente learn it from scratch I found it a little complex, especially for the purpose I need, so I wondered if and where I can find a good tutorial I hope you can help me!

ug is used only by large companies and the fiat group. in abruzzo I think you should learn solid edge or inventor that seem much more widespread.

Bye.

thank you for the right... but I never said I wanted to stay in abruzzo:tongue:..and so much less that my current workplace is the abruzzo!...I try to learn nug because the never company still has to choose to appear a software and they would seem directed towards ug... so I want to find myself ready for the convenience... called this...consigli? ? ? :finger:

hi schueya and welcome to the forum.
The question you ask is very complex and, in my opinion, involves two answers.
the first is to learn what they do and how the various commands (and they are so many!!!!) of the various modules (modelling, drafting, assemblies etc.). done this you will not be able to use the software at the best of its capabilities and you will risk going to a blind alley.
the second is to understand which are the most appropriate tools (commands) to achieve the desired results. this is the most complex part because very elusive and aleatory and involves a big experience from the user.
to give you an example, banal if you want, if you need to create a simple hole you could use the hole command or make a sketch, extrusion and subtraction. is not said to be worth the other, depends on where you go and where you want to get there. Maybe you change your cards at the table at the last moment and you're flattened.
the advice I feel to give you (and give your company) is to turn to serious retailers for the first part (use of software) and to serious professionals in the industry for a 'mirate' use of the software.
I also think that this forum can help you.
the questions asked, however, should be like: I have to realize this, which has certain design constraints (some set others still to be defined), with alias or rhino I would do so and so, you with nx what would you do?
this is also a very useful 'exercise' and represents (for me) the difference between modeling and design.

Hello there.
Hi, baskets!
you are very clear!. and what you tell me is not new at all!...it is a technique that I have already tried to use with pro-e...(that would be the other software placed to my company)...and that I highly hope they do not choose because in my opinion it is really too hostical and Moroccan!. .at least nx has a friendly interface and clear command menu!...and yet software of this type have a very different logic from alias or rhino is as if a sort of translation is necessary ...in any way I will try to submit something more specific to you. . .even if I think it is quite complex to help me since I start from scratch and are quite complex parts...type components for microvettures or nautical with dies etc...of course it is not the easiest thing to start from to learn a softaware I realize...:frown:
Thanks anyway!
