I would have the need to explode a simple text in a view in the plant, but autocad says that it is impossible to explode. Do I have to adopt a particular function that allows me to explode the text? How can I solve this? Thank you.

command txtexp express tools.
the topic has already been discussed in the forum... a small search before never fails.

in the search I had already made a small investigation without any result though. in an old post I found that just adopt this method: express tool, text, explode text. I have 2 problems:
1- I don't see where the express tool is (I have the Italian version of autocad 2007) if you give me a suggestion maybe.
2- I don't have the txtexp command.

What version do you have of autocad? the full or the lt?
there are no express tools in the lt.

I already knew that in the lt the express tools are not there, but I am in full poses and that is why I ask a suggestion on where they are located.

in acad --> tools --> options --> files --> search path of support files, I don’t want to miss, it seems that the express tools, already have them within the program as you may notice in the image I attach. I wonder, why doesn't the txtexp command work?

the fact of having them, does not mean having installed them! try charging them using the right mouse button on the toolbar, it should appear in addition to acad, custom, even express! you unplug over it and you should install them automatically!

Thanks for the answer. apparently, however, using the right mouse button on the toolbar, do not appear the entries mentioned by you i.e. acad, custom, and express as you can notice from image that I attach.

I hope you have the installation cds, reinstall the express tools from the cd! also because from your image, I would say that you are in the acad drop-down menu. go on a level, and see what appears to you. otherwise the only solution is the first of this answer!

summary for rhymes:

- Go ahead. program files\version_of_autocad\express and check that the folder is not empty (the files should be about 150)

- if is not empty search in the pc file acetmine. e caricalo con carmenu (_ menuload).

- se is empty means with the functionality has not been selected when installing autocad, you can add it now, having the cd, via "control panel\install applications\version_of_autocad\Add or remove functions"

thanks planner, gp and ezio for your answers. with the carmenu command I loaded in autocad via the acetmain.cui file the express as from image qui. in the command line you can notice as autocad says: the customization file has been loaded without problems. seems ok, and instead when I go to explode the text from the express menu > text > explode text as from image qui It tells me that txtexp is an unknown command. I'm really destroyed and I don't know what to do anymore.

have you looked at if in the express folder identified in the "research path of support files" there are files (in specific txtexp.lsp)?

Sorry rhymes, but look that not all fonts can explode! What font do you use?
Also because to say the truth, I express tools see them in the menu of the slide bar, left of the video: and not above!

ezio, the beautiful autocad rhymes says that txtexp is an unknown command. . .

I think it has no express installed and that acetmain.cui fished it in another version of autocad, I guess it from the fact that in the drop-down menu the icons associated with the commands were not loaded.

However, if so, it might solve without installing them, but changing the path of express in options\file.

@I think he's right gp, however the fonts I tried were the txt, the verdana, the arial and the comedian sans. the problem will be another definitely. from the menu bar by clicking on express, in addition to the explode text, the other functions do not work to me.@ gpdoing a search in autocad I did not find the express folder as you can see qui. I also looked at the "research path of support files" and found This is.
Maybe I'll try to change the express path in options\file as you say?
How do I do that?
last thing, I only have the 2007 version of autocad and acetmain.cui got it as from image qui.
