Hello everyone
I am new to the forum and neophyte of vw...
I created a 3d model in vw but I can't export it neither in 4d cinema nor in 3dstudio.
I tried with export .3ds but it all becomes a single block (and therefore it is impossible or very complicated to apply textures).
I tried to export to dxf but I couldn't.
can you advise me the most convenient and simple method?
Thank you
p.s.: ho vw2010

Hi.
the direct export for c4d is only found in the 2011 version.
until 2010 there was an additional plugin of the maxon.
I have never exported to 3ds. for rendering use artlantis, which has a plugin that allows direct export from work vectors.

The important thing is that you have split your 3d model well by categories/classes so you find this division in the rendering engine you decide to use. otherwise it becomes difficult to assign materials.
What problems does export you to dxf?
Hi.
I do.

Hi.
I own vw 2010 so I don't have direct export.
I couldn't install the maxon pluginhttp://www.maxon.net/it/downloads/updates/plugins.htmlwhile the problem I encountered exporting to dxf perhaps was caused by the fact that I used the categories but I used for all the same color of pen.. .
in some posts referred to the command "layer link" for export to dxf but I couldn't find it. . .
Hello and thank you

ciao
I couldn't install the maxon plugin
the maxon plugin I think was located within the c4d package.
while the problem I encountered exporting to dxf perhaps was caused by the fact that I used the categories but I used for all the same color of pen.. .
It seems strange that you have to assign different pen colors for the dxf. the important thing is to have divided the project well by categories.

in some posts referred to the command "layer link" for export to dxf but I couldn't find it. . .
the link layer, which in the ita version should call itself a glossy link, was removed from the workspace as replaced by unified view.
However you find it by editing your scheme.
these commands only serve for displaying the model.
If you have problems with gloss, before exporting does a copy of the file and brings all your model inside to a single gloss.
Hi.
I do.

have you tried to export to igs or sat?

What problems did you encounter in installing plugins?
