Bye to all,
I have to export files to stl with v5 cat to import them to 4d cinema, but I get too many triangles out. is there someone who knows if you can set the output in stl format? or another way to export to cinema?
Thank you.

I generally use the wrml though from solidworks to c4d. if you have too many triangles select the imported bodies and go on functions/detriangular and then flag on "create n angles" I think...
Careful though, you risk compromising some superfice... to me does not always give good results.
with stl I have never tried, but there are parameters where you can choose export quality. on swx when saved you can click on options and choose resolution on good or customized draft. . I don't know.

the stl file is generated according to the graphical approximation of the model.
by going to: tools\options\general\visualiza\precisiome 3d, you have to change the value of the addition of the curves. .

Hi.

Workaaa, thanks ferrezio I finally see the number of polygons in cinema hehe.
hello and thanks again

I do not know the formats in catia export, try if there is wrml, or dxf, they are managed well in c4d, stl according to me produces too many triangles. the engineering version uses polytrans that you can also take apart I think.
