Good morning to all, I was looking for a way to keep the original colors even during exporting models steps and assemblies. Now as now when I take a set in step and try to reopen it makes me see all the parts of that standard gray mouse that I find even during modeling.
I tried to do a search, but I didn't find the configuration I need.
there is no such option step_out_*** by any chance?
Thank you, soon

unless strange bugs that are always possible, to save in step preserving the colors you have to export in step 214 (a or b). The standard step 203 format does not contain any information on the colors of the faces.

I can't tell you why I never used this tool.

When it matters a step file instead, if it was originally saved in 203 there's nothing to do.

Okay, thank you all for the tips. I ask a fine for not having examined the guide carefully.. .
the option I set is step_export_format ap214_is
