hello to all
I often get this:
I have several elements of a multibody .ipt that I have to laser cut.
to the cutter I send a unique file where there are various shapes to cut.
to get profiles for templates:
1)face export by name
2)creo a dwg file for each element (two pa...eek::eek:)
)I open each file, code in the notes one at a time the various profiles (to ridue pa..e )
4) take one at a time the various profiles in the file to be sent to the cutter.

But is there any fireworks to skip steps two and three?
Is that having a command that the export function makes me immediately turn it into a dwg or dxf copied into the notes?
I would speed this up a lot and not create a bunch of files I don't need.
I hope I've been clear.

I don't understand.
When you carry out how you do it already generates a dwg with the shape, I don't think I understand points 3 and 4.

In fact, it generates a dwg that I have to save and then create somewhere, then I have to enter that dwg, select my silhouette and copy it in the notes.
then "fix it" together with others in One files that I'll send to the cutter.
I would like a command that copied the shape directly from the face into the .ipt file.

I would say no.
putting all the templates as seen in inventor dwg maybe makes you earn something, I don't know.

good day, have you tried to use the cutting function to create the various sections you need? and then make a dwg or dxf with the various sections.

creates a sketch
project surfaces
export the sketch
I think that's what you need:wink:
